How I Turned a Content Site Into a $30,000 Exit
Where it started
No paid promotion, no shortcuts — just a content site built on a proper technical foundation and grown through consistent publishing.
Getting the SEO foundation right first
Before scaling content, I made sure the technical side was solid: crawlability, page speed, clean internal linking, and schema markup. Content built on a weak technical foundation rarely ranks the way it should, no matter how good the writing is.
Monetizing with Mediavine
Once traffic was consistent, I moved the site onto Mediavine, which has been the highest-revenue ad network I've worked with, and added affiliate placements where they genuinely matched what visitors were searching for.
The exit
With rankings, traffic, and revenue all established, I sold the site as a complete digital asset for roughly $30,000. It wasn't a lucky break — it was the direct result of applying SEO and content strategy consistently over time.
What I'd do differently
Start the technical SEO work even earlier, and document the monetization numbers more consistently from day one — it would have made the eventual sale process faster and the asset easier to value.
